Samsung SM5

The new Renault samsung SM5 has just been launched in Korea.<p>You may wonder how come we didn't hear from it, since there was much noise when the Sm7 was released last year?<p>Well easy, the Sm5 and Sm7 are basically the same cars with smaller engines for the SM5. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/bangin.gif" BORDER="0"> <p>I really don't get this strategy. It's a nice car but it's going to have a hard time competing with the also all new Hyundai Sonata in the S. Korean market. The Sonata has almost 50% of the market share there in that class.

yeah we already had a discussion on this in the old forum. if I recall correctly the distinction between the two models was discussed then (even though the sm5 was not yet available). I'll see if I can find a link to the old thread.
