Hello everyone, well this may be a little different for this forum… but I am actually posting about my own car. I am in the process of developing a Specialty Car company and we are in the middle of producing our first prototype now. I want to get some feed back as it’s important to us for future development and possible changes. This car will be available in both US and European markets and is being developed with a lot of performance features in mind. It’s a tiny sports car only a few inches longer than the old 66 Shelby Cobra. But it allows for very tall people to fit comfortable in it with loads of room.

Visit the website gallery to view the prototype build process and please comment or suggest ideas. This car is called the “Blade” and is designed around my own ideas and those that have commented.

PS. Some images show side pipes and others do not... This is because it is an option for those States that will allow them.

I like it a lot. It's like a Viper, mixed with the elegance of the Esperante, mixed with Miata, and I see some Corvette Stingray lines in the crease over the front wheels.

I like it.

It's looking sharp and appears to have all the goods, from the power and manners to the agressive and muscular proportions and stance. I wish you much support and success to what will be a outstanding contribution to the high-end performance club of fine vehicles!

In some ways, but not exactly in genre, this is reminding me of the development of the start-up ultra-exclusive, top-end, and exotic luxury sedan from Dimora Motors called the Natalia SLS. It's developing well and is on it's way to fruition. Renderings and specs are stated and presented in the website, link is below (either click on or copy & paste the URL into your browser):

Hi there, don't get me wrong, I appreciate new members but joining a forum and just posting about your site and project is not something I value highly. Next directing members away from the forum instead of posting some photos or information here is also something I frown upon against. See instead of contacting one of the staff and asking if posting such a thread would be appropriate as a member once did and we approved.

Ascariss,

I apologize, I read though most of the forum rules and maybe I missed some of the info. As someone who runs a rather large forum myself, I understand about those one timers that come and post links to draw members away from the forums to promote their own whatever. However this wasn’t my intention… the rules said all over these forums to post link and not pictures. So that is why I did not post any images first and rather directing to my project site. Again sorry if this causes any issues and I can change the post with images if you wish.

This is a Serious project and something unique I really wanted to share it here to get real feed back on what I am doing. I am not a huge auto manufacture but simply a single individual building his dream car. The amount of attention has been overwhelming and recently and I have had to make a few changes in order to meet US regulations. My only intention is to get feedback too see if this is the final design to take to production.

Again sorry, and if you wish to remove the post I will understand.

PS, I added images above...

- Neal

Thanks for understanding.

I see some similarities to the old Z3 in the windshield (or even miata) and the Z4 in some of the fenders. The side vent seems a bit large maybe it's the rendering but I hope it is a tad smaller on the real car since currently it overpowers the side. I am not a fan of the front bumper, almost looks like a normal car bumper copied and stacked on top of the other one, too simple, I would suggest a different front bumper to give the car a unique and perhaps recognizable shape. FInally the other thing bugging me is the hood, where it is extended towards the windshield in a flat and non attractive sort of way.

It looks good in some angles but not others such as this one

maybe if it followed the contour of the hood, it might not stick out so much? other than that looks great, wouldn't mind seeing this tested on the new US version of top gear.

I do like the aggressive design but the sudden roundness and the proportions behind the hood is jarring. While I imagine the vents do serve a much needed heat dispersion, it looks over done and assume it will catch the niche attention of kit car fanatics.

It would serve as a great reminder to Dodge for a Viper replacement, since the Vette is running all over its territory.

I agree with the above. There are sharp lines all over which look cool, but the front of the car does not fit in, and looks very odd with teh roundness, especially of the lights. ALmost looks like 2 cars glued together over teh front axle.

It almost looks like it has two mirror image grilles. One would be better. The nose of this is the one part that I just don't like. It looks like an import tuner kit for a Civic. A more refined and perhaps longer nose would complete the picture nicely.
