The acrid smell of burning rubber and the pulse-quickening rumble of countless high-flow exhausts fill the air as automakers from around the globe converge on the second annual CSS Aftermarket, Performance & Styling Auto Salon, the world's premier display of factory-built or modified high performance cars.

This is a chance for CSS's designers to throw caution, reason, and strategy to the wind; it's the perfect venue to show off their fastest, sexiest, most extreme automobiles. For a few short weeks, practicality and political correctness will take a back seat to absurd horsepower, razor-sharp handling, and face-warping speed.

Here are the ground rules: CAPSAS is our version of Essen or SEMA. It's open to all CSS designers with a focus on our own unique companies and brands. If you want to debut a simple sport package, a high-performance variant of an existing model, an all-new sports car, or even a completely new brand, this is the place. Everyone will have their own spin on extreme performance and aesthetics, but regardless of differing visions CAPSAS will function as a fun, collaborative environment in which we can stretch the boundaries of our marques while indulging in the primal desire for excess.

I don't really see the need to set a firm closing date for CAPSAS, since I know many of you are busy with school, work, and other upcoming shows (Paris, L.A., et al.).

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!! Again, kudos to 2o6 for initiating CAPSAS last year. I hope we have a great turnout.

That's great..........however, I only have three models 'on sale', so my presense at this at this show will be limited. Also, if DoMiNo didn't mension, you can display models of other marques, (Aviva, Montgomery........ect......) as well as "real" marques (Mazda,Honda, Chevrolet......ect.....) in this show.

True, I didn't mean to imply that CAPSAS is exclusive to CSS marques; feel free to use an existing manufacturer.

I've moved up a Quimera debut for CAPSAS. Nothing particularly big, but hey, it's something to show :)

With a growl from its high-revving V12 and a swirling cloud of tire smoke, Quimera’s freshened Super Halcón sport-utility vehicle thundered onto the marque’s display stage at the 2008 CSS Aftermarket, Performance, and Styling Auto Salon (CAPSAS). The limited production Super model is the first to debut the Halcón’s revised styling, which will make its way (albeit in tamer form) to its non-Super Halcón stablemate as well as the forthcoming Qh Halcón Hybrid model... <o:p></o:p>

Maybe you should work for Acura. That would have been the right chord to strike. Stunning vehicle.

Thanks, swizzle! That's quite the compliment.

Who else is planning a CAPSAS debut?

Thanks, swizzle! That's quite the compliment.

Who else is planning a CAPSAS debut?

I'm planning a couple:

Aviva Allegro Vanden Plas
Aviva Iza Supreme
Aviva Allegro Rallentando and Presto (Both are production models)
Avivia Cosmos That has been tuned by Bomex.........was originallly going to be tuned by DAMD, but DAMD doesn't anything other than Japanese Cars.
A BUracane Devolante Super version

And for the finale, I will try to do one Montgomery Model, and one Clarkman Model.

Mericros proudly introduces the Scarab PS. For the more adventurous buyer. The Scarab PS features a new aggressive front fascia, carbon fiber spoiler, and my favorite, a new engine with 412 HP, up 64 from the original. It also features bucket seats.

Mericros- A new age of the American automobile.

Original shown left of the PS.

Anyone want to comment?

I like it, however, besides the spoiler it needs to be even more aggressive.

Sorry, don't know how I forgot to comment on your design, Nelson. The Scarab was already a pretty sporty car, and in this iteration you've greatly improved the proportions and given it a much more aggressive face. It's much less MG and more Dodge Viper now :) I'm also impressed with the progress you're making on your shading. Cool car.
