CSS ALL* STAR Design Challenge 2010

Its that time of the year again, As 2010 winds down, lets reflect and have a look at this years contest winners and choose the ALL * STAR Design of 2010.

Regular voting rules (http://www.carspyshots.net/showthread.php?t=19325) are in effect: Score each design between 0 – 5 points. As always, try to put some thought into your votes. If necessary, refer back to the entrants' individual descriptions in the contest thread to get more insight into their respective concepts. Comments/explanations are welcome along with your votes. Anyone can vote, so if you're just passing through, feel free to share your thoughts!

Still thinking, this is hard.. But will vote byy the end of the day.
Can i propose a rule change though?
All entrants should be able to score themselves, obviously everybody will score themselves 5 but in doing so will cancel each other out.
This would ensure everyone votes, I know i'm pretty guilty of entering and then forgetting to vote.

Italian Exotic Winner- 5, I've always liked this concept

Ford Mustang Winner- 3, really like the side view sketch

SAAB Winner- 3, cool design. Not too radical though

Chrysler/ Lancia Winner- 3, cool idea, would've liked more views though

Group B Winner- ***************

Alfa Centennial Winner- *******

Ferrari Winner- 3, great design but a little outdated

BMW 0 Series Winner- 3, cool design, and nice ideas, not totally BMW looking though

Mitsubishi Winner- 4, fresh design. Very well done

Italian Exotic Lightweight Racer: dsgnr - Lambo: 3 - really smart presentation but execution seems a little vague

Ford Mustang DoMiNo - Ford Mustang: 4 - Looks great but very very evolutionary. Nicely aggressive though

The SAAB Savior: Nath - Saab Tio: - - - - -

New Chrysler/Lancia: ElementW - Chrysler/Lancia Mini: 3 - Smart but fussy and not sure how would fit with either brand

Group B Rallycar Revival: NelsonDesign - FIAT 500: 5 - Looks nuts, i like it. Works as a Fiat

Alfa Romeo Centennial Concept: NelsonDesign - Alfa Romeo Giulia: 4 - Like the front but not too sure of the rest

Ferrari “Super” Berlinetta: mrfdesign - Ferrari Piero Enzo: 2 - Some neat design cues but doesn't really stand out

The BMW 0 Series: TS-Design - BMW 0: 3 - Something very likeable about this, even though doesn't look much like aBMW (and is slightly 80's)

Mitsubishi Makeover: AXIS - Mitsubishi Budō: 4 - Quite simple but nicely proportioned. love the red screen

4: - Italian Exotic Lightweight Racer
All the elements came together quite nicely with this design. The proportion, execution and presentation all flowed well and conveyed a very concise idea.

3: - Ford Mustang
There is no denying the heritage in this design, However would have loved to see a more radical redesign instead of the subtle evolutionary approach.

5: - The SAAB Savior
Tons of research and thought have been put into this and have seemed to produce a design where function follows form. Would have loved to see the design of the rear pushed further, its a bit plain. Other than that great job!

2: - New Chrysler/Lancia
A great design, however simply swapping badges is not enough to differentiate the models from each other.

5: - Group B Rallycar Revival
This design is bursting with character! and the execution was on point as well. Definitely one of your best pieces.

1: - Alfa Romeo Centennial Concept
For a Centennial Concept I was expecting something more over the top and dramatic. There's a lot of potential in this design and it can be pushed further.

0: - Ferrari “Super” Berlinetta
The design is pretty supercar generic and its really hard to pick out any Ferrari DNA. Great execution and technique though.

2: - The BMW 0 Series
The design isn't modern, and lacks BMW DNA. Perhaps another angle might have helped, but your technique and skill put into the render is EXCELLENT.

5-Italian Exotic Lightweight Racer- I love the minimalism in the design and the futuristic bicolor style.

3- Ford Mustang- Niiiice evolution and presentation.

3-Saab Savior-Fresh, futuristic design elements work swell for a small Saab.

5-Group B Rally car Revival- Menacing, tough looks are perfect for a Fiat rally car!

2-Alfa Romeo Centennial Concept- Lacks that special feel to it. A different view might have made all the difference.

0-Ferrari Super Berlinetta- Looks much to similar to the Italia, and doesn't jive as Ferrari's top dog.

1-BMW O Series- Does not work out as a future BMW. Somewhat outdated but that's some radical shading there.

4-Mitsubishi Makeover- Love the Grille and the overall flamboyant profile. This would definitely put Mitsu on the map

Very high concept, and stunning renders, but somewhat out of character for Lamborghini.

Ford Mustang - n/a

The SAAB Savior - 5
The standout contest entry of the year, for me. As mentioned above, the thought put into this design is obvious: it is perfectly placed for the market, and perfectly designed for the "new" Saab. My favorite of your designs.

New Chrysler/Lancia - 3
A very attractive car that nicely fuses the Lancia and Chrysler DNA in a way that doesn't seem contrived.

Group B Rallycar Revival - 5
Just a wicked little car, although I still say Fiat's Group B entry should be a Lancia ;)

Alfa Romeo Centennial Concept - 3
Attractive car, just not well enough developed.

Ferrari “Super” Berlinetta - 3
Great sketch, and nice design, just generic.

The BMW 0 Series - 3
Another nice sketch, but I just don't get a BMW vibe from it. The front seems too tapered and small relative to the rest of the car, and the result is that it lacks the proportions and presence expected of a BMW model, even in this segment.

Mitsubishi Makeover - 4
Incredible car, if utterly wrong for Mitsubishi :P
