View Full Version : How flat is the new Civic sedan's rear floor?
I'm not sure if its an illusion or is there actually a slight bump in the middle?
In the photo it appears to have something like 1/2 inch rise in the middle of the floor.

Thats a good thing isnt it??? means the person stuck in the middle has leg room instead that huge bump there which means u gotta put ya feet on each side of it.

I know someone who is a big fan of this flat floor.
I told him that many new japanese FWD cars have AWD variants(almost all still have center tunnels), and it would be dificult to squeez in a drive shaft to the rear when your car has a flat floor, you'd end up with many things hanging from underneath the car like the CR-V.

The "flat" rear floors of the Civic, Avalon, and Yaris have slight bumps.
I don't think I ever seen a trully flat floor other than vans and minivans. Could be wrong though.
