Slotting in below the Gyro, the Iota has made the Montgomery brand more accessible than ever.
Functional, attractive design
Inside and out, the Iota is about combining style and function into one package, and it does this successfully. The exterior, with its triangular LED-surrounded headlights, sharp side sculpting and modern taillights, is clearly functional, yet pleasing to look at. The interior is more of the same: stylish design, yet still ergonomically sound. Both the exterior and interior are available in a wide range of color options.
Quality that suggests a more expensive vehicle
Like every other Montgomery, the Iota is superbly constructed, using an array of pleasing, high-quality materials. The top of the dashboard, available in colors such as gray, black or even purple, features tastefully grained plastic and large, easy-to-use dials. The bottom half, meanwhile, houses most of the controls, including the radio buttons, which are ergonomically placed and, as a result, easy to use.
Extraordinary room for its size
Despite the Iotas small size on the outside (3505mm in length and 1620mm in width), it has enough room to seat four adults comfortably. The front seats are well-shaped and offer competitive room for the segment, while the rear bench slides forwards and backwards, allowing either a cavernous cargo area or generous space for passengers.
Sprightly performance
Featuring 1.2- and 1.4-litre petrol engines and a 1.4-litre turbodiesel engine, the Iota is never short on power. The entry-level 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine generates 67bhp, which by itself seems a small amount but is more than adequate for moving the 820kg Iota. The 1.4-litre model is more powerful still, gaining another cylinder and a bump to 76bhp, capable of pushing the Iota to 100km/h in 12.2 seconds. The 1.4-litre turbodiesel manages a superb 69 mpg in the combined cycle, while still managing good performance (12.7-second 0-100km/h acceleration). The Iota comes with a six-speed manual transmission as standard, and is also available with a six-speed automatic.
Great value
Starting at just E8,900 for a 3-door 1.2 S, the Iota is by far the least expensive model in the Montgomery range, and is competitive with its rivals in this respect as well.

Interior Blueprint I
