We all know that Nissan QC is criminally poor...now we know that their president also is a criminal.

So the Sergio Marchionne of Renault-Nissan is finally gone. As with FCA, this is a good thing for Renault-Nissan.

It brings into question the reliability of Nissan's books IF their President is stupid enough to falsify his own personal income... this store has not yet finished being told.

Here comes their Dieselgate moment.

Mr Ghosn was paid 735m yen (5.1m) by Nissan in the most recent financial year, 227m yen (1.6m) by Mitsubishi and €7.4m (6.6m) by Renault - a total of about 13.3m.
guess 15 million euros is not enough money for some. How does one under report their income when it's clear how much he got paid?

Probably share valuations.

Maybe only the fixed part of his income is official, and some variable (base don success) components not, or, as said, share packages and their valuation. And yes, the more people have, the greedier they become, the more they even want. That#s not big news...

Perhaps before he is hoisted by his petard, we should wait and learn more about the charges. There are cultural and political angles potentially in play as well.

He destroyed Nissan's quality and put it into a tailspin of mediocrity. Like Sergio Marchionne, Ghosn is a moron that you're supposed to laud as an automotive visionary. He needs to be kicked to the curb and Nissan needs to figure out how to get away from Renault and the low-expectations of the French auto industry.

None of which has anything to do with what I wrote - I'm not arguing against your points.
