Ford posted up a few shots from the design process of the new Focus.

Thanks for the post! Yeah i saw the Coupe thing but unfortunately i doubt this is any concrete news of an actual Coupe version. I wouldn't have been surprised if they had all sorts of variants studied in the early stages

A slide from the Ford design studio, probably around 2007/2008, showing the proposed Focus alongside the then-current versions of its competitors.

You'll notice a softer roofline and a very Fiesta-like front end. I like the real one better than this proposal.

Good find! It doesn't look like something that could have entered production; the proportions are too extreme, but the front end looks a bit more coherent than the final product - I suspect the 3-port grille was a late addition, explaining why it's rather messy on the Focus and well-implemented on the Escape.
