2018 Mercedes Benz A-Class

Spied for the first time;

Evolutionary approach (apparently Mercedes is to join the Audi and BMW train), but at the same time looks a bit boxier and larger than the current model. Not too many other info available now, but expect updates in the usual departments like engines, infotainment and assist systems (just look at the count of laser/camera/whatever openings on the windscreen)....

I wonder how much of it is Nissan/Renault.

How come? So long as Nissan take care of 'just' the oily bits :cool:

I just hope that they balance the current car's 'nose heavy' design.

Well it does seem to get a longer overhang at the back as well, and the slightly boxier greenhouse seems to give visual weight to the rear end as well.

Yes, all of Mercedes small FWD products are bespoke. Yeah.

New shots, including the interior; The full width dual screen from the S-Class will (at least optionally) be installed even in the small Mercedes. Also, this is one button loaded steering wheel.

I read an article a few yrs ago where an engineer (I think) said he tries to keep the designers away from the steering wheel. Now we see why....
