Thanks guys: I know the dune buggy type of car (many of them here where I live, although dying out now as the VW engines are beyond rebuilding).

It's more of a four (and some maybe even three-) wheeler with a roll cage than a car.

Hi. Nope, not the Moke. The car I am thinking of is more recent. The body is in all likelihood vacuum-formed plastic or glassfibre. More rounded than the Moke, and possible even shorter (and taller)?

I have a mystery I am trying to solve.

Years ago I saw some (rental?) buggies used on some island somewhere. May have been the Caribbean (I saw this on TV). It's a small 2-seater four-wheeler....

Just heard a report of an interesting sighting from somebody in the vicinity of Frankfurt.
He claims to have seen 'something like a Fiat Panda, badged a BMW'. But evidently not a Panda with a BMW...
