I actually wish they went a little further with the design. Hummer, like them or not, did a fantastic job of keeping their iconic brand while looking modern with the H2 (stylistically). The Defender prototypes have been the same as well.

Another missed opportunity would be the roof: Panoramic roofs are all the rage from a luxury standpoint, but for a nature-oriented vehicle, it's also practically justified. Old Land Rover Discos are popular on safaris, for example, because of the portholes and the popup rear sunroof that allowed for standing up in the back seat.
