Are you forgetting that every recent Kia has been adopting this type of taillight/tailgate design? Odds are they based it on those...not a 2007 MDX.





Also, the X6 debuted in 2008 as a 2009 model. Unless Acura had a time machine, they didn't copy it.

Not to mention, if anything, they're Audi-esque based on Pete Schreyer.
