Very proud of our local Ford team, this and the Everest appear to be great products - and ones that deserve to be built here too.

The claimed efficiency gains are a plus, which should keep it competitive and close to best in class. Unfortunately, the facelift has been poorly executed and completely and unnecessarily ruined its good looks.

I think the change is an improvement, it looks cleaner than before and less car-like without getting into the caricaturish ruggedness of US trucks.

Agreed, although I think if they ever do bring it back to the US, it will have to adopt more F150 styling cues to be successful.

I think the American consumers would like it looking as it does.

I prefer the pre-facelift model. This actually looks older.

Does the compact Chevy truck sell in the US? This is actually rather large too, at least visually it doesn't seem really a category smaller than the many regular US trucks where I live, unlike previous generations or the VW amarok...

The Tacoma sells double the number that the Colorado/Canyon is doing.

They're catching up though. 11k vs 8k sales in January. that's the most recent sales month I could find. The Tacoma has certaily built up a folllowing amongst those looking for smaller trucks with limited options until now. That's usually a very loyal customer base, which will be challenging to break into. Personally the Canyon is the hands down winner to me lookswise over the Toyota and the Ford, although haven't driven one.

There is no logical reason why Ford wouldn't bring this to NA - beyond potential hurting of F150 sales. It's a good looking product, the category is robust and growing. Come on Ford!
