Default 2017 Bugatti Chiron

Quote:
W16 8.0-liter engine with four turbochargers produces 1,500 PS (1,103 kW / 1,479 hp) at 6,700 rpm and 1,181 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) between 2,000 – 6,000 rpm. All that output is channeled to both axles through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox which enables the Chiron to achieve a maximum speed of 261 mph (420 kph) that will be electronically limited. There’s no word about the 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint, but it is expected to take as little as 2.2 seconds.

That interior just screams "concept". Love the interior, not a fan of the rear though.

that is pretty amazing looking, inside and out. much more "worthy" of the price tag than the Veyron on looks alone.

Mental as it should be, but that rear though, not sitting right for me, should be in line with the front design, curved and not a gaping hole.

The all black is amazing

That's what I call developing a design, so similiar in its features yet so much better resolved than the Veyron. Love it!

I don't like the very front (headlights look goofy... especially in the light blue two-tone) and very back end (too cut-off from the rest of the car), but everything in between is divine. The interior is fantastic, too.

Having said that, I would experience a very swift evacuation of my bowels should I see this in my rear view mirror:

I will be the first to say that the rear end has a next-gen-911-4S-rear-end styling (j/k).
With that out of the way, the new car looks too derivative of the Veyron. They might as well should have called it Veyron 2.0. No doubt there will be numerous one-off editions. Can the Chiron out do the Veyron?
To me, the curiosity is more about the engineering aspect and the ability to manufacture this car without bleeding money like the Veyron was doing. I am sure the development of the Chiron was pretty much complete before the diesel-gate came about. However, Bugatti will not just call it a day at that.

Looks-wise, I find this car very ugly, but really very ugly. I must be the only one.

Nope. I agree. Moves the game backwards. I'd take a Huayra any day over this.

The design looks like an uncohesive mess - was the design team even communicating with each other? Ugly as hell.
