This looks like the GC. The size doesnt look much different, but maybe its just the camo playing with my eyes

Jeep to launch luxury Grand Wagoneer

Chrysler plans to follow up the launch this fall of the redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee with the introduction in mid-2005 of a more luxurious variant that may be called Grand Wagoneer.

Aimed at such premium sport utility vehicles as the Volkswagen Touareg, the upscale Jeep is expected to feature a longer wheelbase to accommodate a third row of seats -- a complaint among some buyers of the current Grand Cherokee, which does not have a third row. It likely will have a plusher cabin and will offer buyers a choice of V-8 engines, probably a 4.7-liter unit and the 5.7-liter Hemi.

Sticker price will be close to $40,000.

I was expecting this to look like a stretched Grand Cherokee, but this is even worse in my opinion. I realize that there is still alot of camouflage on this thing, but the design elements that are in view, reveal a design that would have been cutting edge about twenty years ago.

Its looks as its even more angular than the Discovery however the overhangs look too long so it looks odd to me. I really dont like the truck/SUV styling direction for DCX and this preview ratifys my position

Another thing I just noticed is that the rear door glass is transparent...Euro model or Gulf States???

Wow, it really is going to be a complete box. Are they trying to steal sales from the H2? What is the point?

Even though I am not happy with what I've seen so far I'll let the jury out until I see the complete box...

I hope they fix the Boston Acoustics system this time. The one in the 300C is great, but the Grand Cherokee suffers from a smaller amplifier.
