Usually, AMS's Stehrenberg illustrations are unprecise at best. Or total fantasy products.

Furthermore, most other magazines claim that the Multipla name will be used for the 500 5-door, which would make sense, given that the 1st Multipla was based on the similary small 600.

When it says it will "share a platform with the Dodge Journey" does it mean it will use the current Mitsubishimess platform?

No, it won't. It will be based on the Puntos plattform, and will have two lenghts, for 5 and 7 seater versions ( the 5 seater is the now rumoured " 500 MPV " ). They will be launched in 2012.

The Dodge Journey itself will be rebadged and sold as a Fiat beginning late this year or early 2011.

Fiat will regret selling such a compromised product. The reviews haven't been kind.

I do not agree. I've (kind of) tested that car and the only real drawback about it is the noise, it's not well isolated. Apart from that it's quite pretty, spacious, well equipped and decently finished. Fix the noise isolation and it could stand it's chances quite well.

Yeah that's why they are as rare a sight as a Lamborghini.:nono: In addition to noise, other complaints by testers have been less than stellar real world MPG and a powertrain that was described as crude.

Well, currently it mounts VW sourced TDIs (non common-rail ones). A shift to Fiat's engines is to be expected, isn't it?
