Arrow NEW PHOTOSHOP CONTESTS MODERATOR

As some of you have seen I'm going to step down as this year and want to pass the role on to someone with some new enthusiasm and ideas.

A couple of people have let me know they'd be interested already but I want who else would like to do it.

You should be able to do:
- Speak English well (which I think everyone here does)
- Able to work out some basic maths (I have some spreadsheets set up that you can use)
- Be creative and know basic Photoshop skills
- Understand the basic 'coding' that goes into our forum software (text bolding and image tags)
- Dedicate probably half an hour a week to setting up and managing contests

I'm sure most of you guys could do it so if you are interested just send me a PM or post here and we'll take a look over who we think will be best for the job! :)

Why can't multiple people be moderators of this part of the forum?

Like: 3 moderators are thinking of an idea for the next contest. Every 2 weeks, a thread with a poll of the 3 ideas (1 idea per moderator) must be posted in this forum. People get the chance to vote for 1 of those ideas for 5 days. The idea that recieves most votes, will be the next contest subject.

I had been considering letting there be two moderators.

Given that we have two contests running at the same time it could work well.

If anyone else wants to apply or has any ideas just post here or PM me.

Well, I think we can say hello to our new Photoshop Moderators - Niko Bellic and chef211!

I'll get it all finalised and set up so you are both moderators shortly.

Obviously I'll be around if you need me but I'm sure you two can do some good for the contests.

If you can arrange between you how you are going to run things that'd be really great so that we can get the contests up and running as soon as possible.

The main thing to remember is that people want to be chopping all the time so like we've had in 2011 you should have two contests running at any time:

Week 1 - Start Contest 1
Week 2 - Start Contest 2
Week 3 - Open voting for Contest 1 and start Contest 3
Week 4 - Open voting for Contest 2 and start Contest 4
...
...
...

If one of you takes charge of the even numbered contests and another the odd numbered contests things should work out quite well. Just make sure you both add the scores up to the same points total.

I will PM you both with a link to where you can find all of my spreadsheets I use for the contests so you can take a look and get familiar with them.

Just have a chat with each other and things will fall into place I'm sure.

So overall thanks for taking the role and have fun with it!

When does the 1st contest start?

EDIT: I've already made one. Just as BM88's contests they start and end at wednesdays.
