The rebel is nice for its very light weight compared to the near-pro bodies; almost changes the way I compose. Go for the T6.

I picked up a fujifilm X100T a few months ago, it has a fixed 35mm standard-wide lens at f2.0. Its a cool (very heavily loved camera) but just not my speed; I much prefer by bulky blocky 5D which is designed, programmed and committed to taking the damn picture as fast as possible so you can go take another one!

Very nice. I am planning a Canon T6i with battery grip and some kind of lens that I can give away because I'm turning my excellent performing Rebel XSI over to my niece.

then you will be giving away an 18-55 standard zoom lens which is a nice starter

try the 10-18 STM ultra wide, everyone who purchased one on my recommendation has loved it

I have a really good Canon arsenal.

fisheye
ultrawide zoom
wide to tele zoom
tele zoom
400mm tele
500mm mirror tele

The jewel is the 28-135 IS zoom from 35mm days. What a great lens. I plan to upgrade to the newer version.

I'd love a 50mm f1.0.

Don't experts insist on the use of primes? ;)

Anyway, I really tried to love primes, but I just can't get to work with them
So the opposite of you:)
I really like the flexibility a zoom brings over the last bit of sharpness, especially as there were great advancements in this regard on zooms also the last years. Also quite interestings developments like low aperture lenses with limited zoom range like the 18-35 f/1.8 by Sigma.

lately a few have been saying that there is no major prime advantage. but yeah anyone who tests still agrees that primes are better

zooms have become tremendously better lately, I fully agree. For example my 16-35 F4 (used to take the above street shot) has better corner sharpness and more sharpness in general than my old 20mm F2.8 leaving the prime with a speed advantage only (and has not been used once since the zoom arrived)

"what do you mean that lens is 100mm, it doesent zoom??" :)
