Default 2019 Audi A1

So it has leaked, more photos in the link below. Not a fan of the dash on the passenger side, the vent placement overall is odd. BUT that being said, it is a major improvement compared to the current car.

The exterior is not bad, less plump and more sporty but I wish Audi would also release normal none S line photos as well since the majority of sales will probably be non S line.

A boring exterior, where - like many times nowadays - dsesigners tried to make a dull shape moire interesting with huge (fake) grilles and overdone creases. However, a dull shape is a dull shape. It doesn't look any more interesting or premium than a Kia Rio or Stonic (of which this actually quite rmeinds me of).

Interior is better in terms of sytle, but the angle and shinny surface of the touchscreen will make it a nightmare to use in summer, and the materials seem rather to be made of the Q2 hard surface type, which would mean a downgrade of the currnet model

Considering this is Audi, they haven't 'normalized' the shape as much as i feared. There are tacky parts a-la-New Civic which risk spoiling audi's classy image but i personally would consider it and the interior is stunning. Those wheels though look like they belong to a Mk2 Ford Focus ST.

Not that bad, but some parts are indeed tacky (rear lights, bumpers, grill).
IMO both Polo and Ibiza are better, cleaner designs - and that's a shame.

The interior looks more SEAT than Audi to me. You could pop a SEAT logo on the steering wheel and nobody would question it.

As I feared, the horrid C-pillar design of the Q2 carries over to the new Q1.

I also imagine that the overly angular interior design theme will not age well....

They should have kept the vents above the grille for an S1 or RS1, and have it blank in the 'normal' models.

The RS garb (or whatever it is) is overkill and messy. The vents above the rings are particularly bad. Reaching Civic Type R levels of bad with those completely fake vents on the front and back (and hidden exhausts??).

Why are the headlights so rounded and bloby? The previous gen is sharp and smart. This is messy and generic.

Audi is losing it... one car after another...

I think the c-pillar is closer to a VW T-Roc than a Q2. It blends into the body at the bottom. The Q2 pillar is a separate panel between the body and roof
