Hmmm. Well, I don’t think it’s been ruined or anything, but I’m not sure how much I like it yet. In the live shots the tail lamps look a bit odd and the front seems a bit boxy.

Official pics:

And, as far as the interior...apparently they thought we have been missing out on a shelf, which has been added...

chrome detailing in rear bumper is overly fussy but overall still a nice looking car that like most recent Audi designs should look even better in person. way too many screens on the interior. three is overkill in this car. Land Rover pulls it off much better.

The original A7 is probably one of my favourite car designs, and I'm not quite sure about this one. I feel the side has way too many creases, and no strong shoulder line. Looks like a badly ironed shirt.

I also think I prefer the rear and front of the old one, though the rear light graphic looks bonkers (in a good way) if you've seen the video.

Agreed.

The front looks fine from some angles and images - it could well be that it needs to be appreciated in the metal. The back is not really very elegant in complete contrast to its predecessor. And some decent looking rims would have been nice.

The interior looks very boxy and doesn't look like it will age well.

The current A7 was always going to be tough act to follow.

Looks like a slimmer Hyundai sonata.

Well, at least it doesn't look EXACTLY like the car it replaces. The prob is that the Accord does such a nice job looking like an A7 that the new A7 ends up looking a bit like an Accord.... I think the front end is a nice evolution of the design language and quite attractive. The rear-end is oddly incoherent (esp for an Audi). The duck-tail and tailights look like they belong to 2 diff cars.

The way the dash is shaped, I seriously feel like some creature is going to emerge from the top most screen to devour me. Not what I want when driving, but whatever floats your boat, I guess. I do hope they offer some type of matte wood option. IMHO, Audi has taken the "tech" aspect of design a bit too far w/ the interior.

It's not ruined, but it's a generic looking version of the current car. If this is the best Marc Lichte can do, then they've hired a talentless man.

CSS sounds the LEAST 'impressed' of what I've read so far...

...and I AGREE
