MUCH better than before. The front is still a little weak, but its still much more attractive than it was before. The new engine and transmission are the biggest gains for this car, and I'd imagine it will help move a fair amount more of them.

Re: (Cole)
yeah the article states like 260hp or something. gotta read it through.... definitely an improvement. the back reminds me more of the montego now but the montego is changing too so who knows...

Oh I forgot to mention, but there are a bunch more pics out right now (I have a Ford media account) but none of the sites have posted them for some reason. The interior hasn't changed a whole lot, but it still looks better for some reason. I'm still unsure of the exterior, because it looks a little old and funky, but its still better than before.

Re: (against the wall)
I know this is just a facelift, but I'm sure they could've done something more extensive for the nose. Something about it just looks... off.

I know what you mean, though this was meant to be more of a mechanical facelift than anything else. Check above for a few better pics.

Re: (anonms)
crud they didnt fix my major gripe: a higher beltline. it looks too saggy and downright boring with the low beltline. a higher beltline makes a car more appealing to look at (see: interceptor)

Re: (Cole)
Awesome facelift, it really needed it. Love the exterior as well as the minor updated interior, like someone said its not very much diff inside but the lil differences make it look sooo much better. Good job Ford.

Re: (against the wall)
I guess I'll be in the minority here (and, admittedly, I'm still feeling the bad vibes from the new Focus) but I don't like it. It's a little more distinctive, I guess, and the interior looks great (albeit not a whole lot different than before), but outside it looks like a bad Photoshop job. The gently sloping, organic greenhouse simply clashes with the crude, squared-off front end, and the new rear lights are downright tacky. Plus the styling-cue-of-the-week side vent is completely unnecessary, design-wise... just stupid. And my god, did the overhangs get longer?
