Default 20XX Chrysler 300

300C mule

this is verry likely either a 300C facelift or a mule for the next generation.

Obviously a face lift. Obviously the updated 300C promised during the bail out hearings.

And that next-gen 300 will be nothing more than a skinned current one given the shoestring budget so...facelift.

Well the two big downsides too the current 300 are the Interior which is cheap looking and feeling, and the exterior which is dated already.

Also it'll be getting the much needed new V6.

Facelift? That's not accurate. The chassis is getting a significant re-work along with the interior. Like Datsun said, new motor(s) as well.

"Significant" like "all new" in the automotive world is a term without a definition. Given the market pressures of needing a new 300 on the market as we speak, the reality that Cerberus funded precious little development, and Fiat being more focused on readying its wares to be sold as Dodges, "significant" could more likely be minor updates. Does bolting in a new V6 equal significant? The Challenger was to have been riding on the "new" platform and yet it is largely the old platform with a few minor adjustments.

This isn't a clean-sheet redesign by any stretch of the imagination. :sad2:

I'm hoping that "significant" really means significant, but given Chrysler's tenuous position...

Wow, if that is the 2010 300 grille then they must have made some SERIOUS last minute changes. For reference, here is the rendering Chrysler showed at its gov't hearing: http://www.allpar.com/cars/ly/index.html
