So, are you trying to tell us it's not horrendous and tasteless compared to a C Class or 3 or 5 series?

Agree.

The Audi A7, for example, is amazing because it is well designed so that the styling can have proportioning on which to work. With Toyota it seems that they create a shape for the car in 60 seconds and then turn different teams of stylists to "style" their small portion of the car. How else to describe tail lights that seem to bulge out precariously from the butt of the car and headlights one size too large?

There is no reason a Camry could not be as sublime as an A7, but the Lexus "spindle" and Crown et. al. with its Hannibal Lechter look is just careless styling without any attention to design. That said, Mercedes is as bad with its overstyled ghetto bling.

The grill has certainly grown on me and I can say I definitely like the Crown series - especially the Royal. I don't care for the pink color - but, who knows, maybe Paris Hilton would. For those who prefer the more traditional grill, there's always the Crown Majesta, which is aimed at a more conservative crowd.

pink - japanese cherry is there to symbolize spring and rebirth of new model, it is not color offered :-). They have plenty of pinks in their smaller cars that sell to women but Crown series is generally pretty conservative and sells to older buyers.

I love the Japanese for their flights of bizarre behavior in their cars and I find it most endearing.
