It's grown to be mature to the point that it's rather prosaic overall, there's no special design feature that stands out. Unless you count the questionable grille curves that are annoyingly incongruous to the rest of the cars ruler straight lines. That detail gets on my nerves for some reason. xD
The last Accent was also very prosaic.
Americans in particular do not have high expectations for bottom-feeder cars other than excellent price, excellent MPG, and excellent reliability. The Accent will deliver there in spades against the Spark, Versa, Mirage, Note, Fiesta, and 500.
I looked at the current Accent when it came out because I like truly basic cars and was quite impressed by the base Accent. It was well put together and a good value.
My next vehicle will be a purchase and something for my daughter. An Accent with a 10 year / 100K mile warranty will be on the list much to the chagrin of the local Ford dealer.
