It is completely the same "garbage" as the Golf, just better looking (on the outside, the interieur looks and feels a lot better in the Golf)

The "garbage" of the Golf IS its looks. Meet the new Golf same as the old Golf same as the Golf before it...no pulse. Seat has a pulse. As for interiors, VW interiors in NA are not any better than the competition. If VWs in NA looked like Seats, sales would go up.

I don't know about the US, but materials and fit are top notch in the European Golf, especially in higher trim levels.

Talk about stating the obvious. EVERYONE here is expressing an opinion. If you're a VW fanboy, mazel tov! But to point out that VW has more stylish vehicles over at Seat or that VW does not play a winning hand in NA, should not cause you to go straight to rage.

Rage? Really now? How did I leave that impression? LOL
I wouldn't call myself a fanboy, but I definitely like their current designs more than 10 years ago (the shiny chrome face era), while I agree that other VW brands have more daring designs than their own cars.
And I do not understand VW's NA operations either (for example not bringing the T-Roc over as of late).
