I want to like it.l really do. I love how low it is...but the lights mess it up. I love the dramatic rear - but the lights (again ruin it)... The wheels seem overly small as well...

I'm not sold

It's much more of a departure from the current look than I was expecting tbh, and overall it's impressed me. The front is almost concept-like in it's low-down, aggressive look and the rear lights keep that ultra-modern theme going.

The interior also seems to be a very welcome change over the current model - simple, modern and by my reckoning, looks like they're used some nicer materials! Great work Mazda, and now all we have to wait for is the Alfa Spyder!

I LOVE IT! I looks simply fantastic and the design language hasn't messed up the classic proportions of the MX-5/Miata/Roadster one single bit. The benchmark for all roadsters has just been lifted to a whole new level.

Unless it's powered up it will continue to be a nail girl / hairdresser special. Let me know when it has 300 hosepower. Until then, it's the same old excuses as usual Miata. Either it has balls or it doesn't. Miatas are typically not imbued with balls.

the headlights are a little too small and a little too weirdly placed. But it's the least girly miata ever made.

The Miata from the beginning was designed to be a cheap no-frills roadster that you can have fun with. It was never designed to be a barnstorming 300hp roadster. So it remains true to the original philosophy while keeping up with modern design language of Mazda.

It's good to see a departure from the same-same design language of previous generations, but, it's just a shame it turned out with such questionable front and rear styling. As Crash pointed out, the lights ruin it IMO.

My thoughts exactly. I think it looks a bit smallish in general, and the front end is neither classic Miata nor really aggressive and sporty. The general "poor man's F-Type appearance is good, but the detailing isn't

also asymmetrical dashboard design, so now I know where was inspiration for Mazda 2, although M2 was presented bit earlier than MX5;)
