Default Toyota Auris 2015 (facelift)

I couldn't find the thread for the Auris anywhere...if there is actually one, could mods please merge this?

Anyhow, facelifted Auris is official. The front is now very similar to the recently facelifted Avensis. The interior is largely the same. I just spot a larger screen, new side vents, new instrument cluster and new climate controls.

Typical facelift, however it can't resolve the rather dull side profile. The interior also still seems a mixed bag, the futuristic Prius gear knob next to the 1982 digital clock, the weird placement of what looks to be (the only) soft stitched materials (in the passenger's knee room) in an otherwise still rather plasticky looking interior (yes, all compacts are plastic, but this just looks "plastickier than average") and te impression, that there are a lot of shapes that kind of don't look to be designed by one designer in one session, but rather a collection of ideas...

The interior always looked like a dated mess - this is a slight improvement. The new nose isn't exactly an improvement though - the pre-facelifted nose is cleaner and more tasteful looking IMO.

I'm not sure that this is actually a facelift. The vehicle in those pictures is strictly the hybrid. This might not be a facelift across the board.

Could be but i doubt it, the article clearly says it's for the whole range even if the pics are from ther hybrid only. But they could be wrong. In any case, it would be a dumb move.

The article is also clearly in another language, so forgive those of us who have no idea what it actually says...

The dashboard looks like something out of a 1980s buick with an ipad sized screen stuck in the middle.

Pathetic.

Agreed. Interior design is something I think Toyota need to really work on.

Toyota Auris Touring Sports Freestyle:

Toyota Auris Touring Sports Freestyle

The nowadays inevitable "Cross" model, with added wheel arch "protection" etc.. No word on raised ride height though, and looking at the pics, if at all then not much.

No changes otherwise, so the sam choice of petrol, diesel and hybrid.
