Default BMW 8 series

Leaked images of the new 8 series coupe.

Leaked 8 series

A lot of Aston Martin styling and the rear is a bit Lexus LC derivative.

If you had told me that this was the new Genesis coupe, I would've believed you.

It's a nice looking car, but it's kind of a weird pastiche of styling gimmicks (IMHO).

I disagree, it looks STUNNING and much much more exciting than the 6-Series.

Wow...can't believe I'm going to say this about a BMW - but that is a thing of beauty.

The problem is that BMW is incapable of building it. Think of the Gran Lusso coupe and the Vision Future Luxury sedan and then we got a stream of same old same old styling. BMW will dumb this down for production.

Even if they built it as is, it looks too much like the current 6 Series. Overall though, it has more "odd" to it than "awesome".

I must agree. BMW is not precisely famous for bringing concepts into production faithfully. Just take a look to spy pics and see for yourself.

This is stunning. I usually detest BMWs (with the i8 as an exception), but this really has potential. Excellent proportions and detailing. I have very very little confidence in BMW to not screw it up come the production model. Those tail lights will be stream-lined into a generic 3-series blob. No way those big intakes and squinty lights will stay. Also not sure about that deep body crease.

I'm hoping they prove me wrong because the i8 proves BMW can be daring and interesting. Considering this is an entirely new model range (or at least a return of an old nameplate), they can afford to be daring no? (>looks at milk toast boring 4 series...)

The spy shots already look like this will be a disappointment. And shame as there is nothing here that isn't production feasible.

More images showing up. If anything, these look even better.

agreed, beautiful. definitely see some Audi A5 in the front and Lexus in the rear but altogether a sharp and fresh design that BMW seemed incapable of. I'm sure the front will be watered down since it's an insurance nightmare as is, but hopefully the overall sharpness remains in tact.
