Default BMW X7 iPerformance Concept (bimmer)

This looks horrible and is a mess. The rear feels like a lexus, front doesn't even feel like a bmw.

The Larson render of the X7 from a few months back seems to be spot on, no doubt he or autobild have images of the concept or its sketches a while ago.

I consider things like the Juke or the C-HR to be a mess. This is just totally unattractive. It being a BMW and being gigantic, I imagine it will sell by the boatloads.

And, yes, I'm a lot of Lexus in this. God, who thought we'd see the day when the Germans were being copying the Japanese in car design....

So the Lexus predator grille wasnt jarring and polarizing enough?

Looks like the love affair of a land cruiser and an X5.

The general proportions are nice, the rear 3/4 view is nice, however the garish detailing and hideous in your face grill ruins everything.

Hopefully the production version wild be toned down.

Could be a Hartage X5 XL

The kidney grills look like droopy saggy tits, needs a bra.

That looks like that Lexus Land cruiser. Which isn't a thing of beauty. And veeery old....

Seriously, BMW seems to be in a great design crisis, including their Mini subsidiary. Yes, people buy them, but certainly not for their looks, but for the badge.

I actually don't mind the re-interpretation of the grille. Given the size of this thing and peds crash standards, the design of the grille makes sense.

When I find offensive are the air intakes and the weird vertical, chrome trimmed thing within the air intakes. Even Cadillac decided to soften the "art and science" look. The chrome trim around the rear-most windows is embarrassingly clumsy. And I don't get BMW's obsession w/ creating lower body surfacing that resembles... a hockey stick.

BTW, is this thing a hybrid or EV? What's the small cut out just in front of the driver's door?

I'm 99,9% sure that "iPerformance" name means some kind of Plug-In-Hybrid/Electric thing, especially considering the location of that flap

frankly... it looks as "inspiring" as large cooling cupboard ! and that "monogrille" looks like slightly squashed grille of Škoda or Kia...

Looks like a non-off-road-capable, non-reliable Land Cruiser/LX. While Land Cruiser/LX are not good looking at least they are useful (for some), this however is neither style nor use, be it on- or off- road, carrying people or stuff.
