That's a 100% improvement. now modify the rear end and give it a proper "tablet screen " inside, and it is a winner.Also I think aligning the gap of hood/fenders and A-pillar/fender would work wonders.

Wow, that looks immensely better. I wasn't too put off by the original until you posted your version. The way the lower vertical edges of the grille flair out is really awkward. The more taught traditional hexagon is very nice, even the way the headlights integrate.

I do sorta like the mesh-like surfacing on the original though.
It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

It looks better indeed, but it also looks even closer to a Mazda3 now IMO, the way those headlight 'teardrops' connect to the grill
