Appreciate the effort - but worse IMO. The sheetmetal around a smaller but still tall grille doesn't work. The 8 series grille works so much better:



I could also see the new 5 series grille working well.

using the 8 series grill or any other thin grill just turns it into a smaller 8 series which becomes boring.

shiakas, I think you could go even narrower, like the older BMWs from way back.

Agree to disagree. I’d prefer “boring” to some than the version BMW gave us

I wonder what an E21 or E30 style fascia would look on a modern design. A neighbor of mine has a red E30 in perfect condition with some nice wheels, and it's a great looking car.

Admirable attempts...but there is nothing that is going to save this face. I've zero idea what BMW was thinking with this...a complete and utter duff of the ball.
