Whilst I'm sure this is close or even the real deal, I'm 99% sure this is a photoshop.

Still, quite handsome looking, I admit.

From certain angles it looks cheap and boring, maybe it's the photos. The sporty appearance is a odds with this car imo, where as the concept looked sporty and that fit well, this seems like it's torn between 2 worlds, sporty and elegant but neither works. The first gen 8er was a very great looking car, tiny bit sporty, but def a GT.

If you cover up the rear badge, it could be hard to identify this as a true bmw.

If this were priced at $50K, its looks would be passable, but for $100K--as it will easily hit--it's far too dull and cliched looking.

Damn that looks dope......and definitely a worthy successor the 6 series Coupe.

Boy, I can't wait for the M8 version.

This is my impression, as well. Is it supposed to be a 2+2 and a competitor to the 911, F-type, etc.? Maybe it'll look different (and better) in real life, but the proportions don't seem overtly sporty enough for that.

However, it doesn't seem grand tour-y enough to compete w/ the S-Class, Lexus LC, or a Maserati GranTurismo.

And, while it apparently won't be as expensive as the original 8-Series was (from a C&D article, I think), it's not going to cheap enough to woo C-Class coupe customers. I'm not really sure what this is supposed to be targeting.

FWIW, I actually liked the last 6-Series and thought it was a nice return to form for BMW.

I do like the interior, though. Too bad it'll be shared w/ every single BMW to be introduced over the next 5 yrs or so....

Definitely not C-class.

Either E-class Coupe or S-class Coupe would be the competitor

Pricing for germany in some brochure I saw was (with tax) 100K for the 840d xDrive and 125K for the M850i xDrive, in euros of course.

As for size it is a tiny weee bit smaller than the outgoing 6er.

8er
length - 4,851 mm
wheelbase - 2,822 mm

6er
length - 4,894 mm
wheelbase - 2,855 mm

S class coupe
length - 5,027 mm
wheelbase - 2,945 mm

So there is a small differene.

Whoops. I meant E-Class.
