I'm planning to buy a sedan of some sort in the next year and the Jetta tempts me, but the Elantra is just nicer to be in and drive. Waiting to see the Passat.
The automatic in the Focus is pretty unrefined. Major shock. At a stop light it will chatter like someone is letting out the clutch and when it shifts through the gears it does so like a teenager learning a stick shift for the first time. Not smooth. The sooner Ford fixes it the better and I'd buy one if it weren't for the bad transmission.

I can sort of see how the Mini and the Veloster are in the same segment but then again not. I doubt many would cross shop them at least. I am surprised how well the Veloster is selling. It's better looking in person than in pictures but it's still an acquired taste.
