Total rubbish. The only good thing about it is the size of the grill: small.

A couple of years ago (i think, it was the presentation of the Ateca) it was said by a high manager that the design breakthrough would come with the new Leon. Not so. We have seen this very same design with the Tarraco.

All in all, design wise, i prefer the current gen.

Ya it seems the design is a bit too much Tarraco.

The sketches were more promising

Well, he did not specifically say the breakthrough would be positive ;)

The Tarraco is still pretty much a VW Tiguan center section with different front and rear clips, so the Leon is indeed the first proper SEAT to adopt this new, "could be anything else" design language;

I suspect that we might see the Leon with different badges in places like China (as a Jetta, e.g.) or probably India, so the design needs to work with many different grille(identities....

Well maybe it'll be better in real life, but for me this front end doesn't work at all with the rest of the car - so IMO they failed in this regard for the main market (Europe) for this car. Chinese and Indian customers are probably less sensitive design wise.

I'd much rather see current design slightly modernized (clean, sharper lines) OR completely new rounded concept and not the mess they created with some sharp lines of the old mixed with more rounded shapes - that just doesn't work.

The way it is now is almost like a Tarraco: VW body with few bits slapped on it, so it kinda reminds of Seat - not horrible, but certainly not the proper new design for the most important model of the lineup.

New cupra unveiled

https://www.carscoops.com/2020/02/ne...anean-cousins/

It is a tad boring, almost uninspiring.

Not sure exactly, they look like the el-born concept rims though

https://www.netcarshow.com/seat/2019...llpaper_03.htm

And since these are on the hybrid version of the cupra leon, I suspect they will be only offered on the hybrid. But they are odd and almost look like hubcaps.

I think the rims look great. Otherwise changes are minor.

The plug-in Cupra wagon is rather appealing, though I'd prefer a different color.
