Default What cars you thought were dead are still on sale?

I can't believe these cars are still being sold as new units.

Well, tbh., both are just "remaining dealer lot units", kind of collector cars, where probably dealers, had them in the showroom exhibited for a lengthy period....

Cars I would add to the "can't believe they are still around" list though:

The Chevrolet Sonic
Hyundai iX20/Kia Venga
Fiat Fiorino and it's French tiny cousins.
Lexus ct200h (now being based on the Toyota Auris/Corolla 2 generations ago)
And I think the Ssang Yong Rodius is still, magically, on sale

And many more zombie models, which I haven't seen an add, a review, a dealer car or anything for ages, yet, they are on sale, somehow....

Yeah, i didn't though about the Lexus ch200, or what ever it is called now. How old is that?. I bet it is over ten years now. Iknow Lexus is not rushing its new models, but this is a bit over the top.

I think it was revealed for 2011MY, and whilst it did receive some visual upgrades (I think it doesn't look bad as such), it was never mechanically updated, The interior, whilst beautiful in terms of materials, really shows it's age in terms of tech and ICE (not Lexus' strong suit to begin with), and packaging (it still has the battery in it'S boot, like the first Auris hybrid on which it is based, ,unlike later models that have a more compact unit below the rear seats), thus having a rather ridiculous boot volume. And the base price is expensive, a lot more than a new Corolla hybrid, which is much more modern.

For the moment, both seem to be on sale in parallel, at least in Europe; The cT200h even had some (to me not noticeable) model year changes last year, I think like a larger infotainment screen or so, but still the rather old software behind it....

Yup, there has been a year update recently, i think a couple of years ago. They have also changed the graphism of the rear lights, now more in line with...what BMW has been doing lately. Now it looks like a 1 series. Big LOLs here.

Well, to be fair, Lexus started this rear light shape/trend, and the newest BMWs - to me, at least - thus do look a bit like a Lexus form the rear; The huge (blanked out) ventilation wholes in general do support that impression as well....

Interesting, its not listed on the Lexus US or Canada websites. And only 4 were sold in the US for 2018.

It was one of those models that received a quick nose-job to conform with the spindle grille. I actually liked the concept of it, an AWD variant would have been nice.

On another note, I've long lusted after an IS 300 Sportcross.

It was cancelled after MY 2017 in the US: https://www.motor1.com/news/146899/l...ncelled-in-us/
