Default 2021 Cadillac Escalade

Overall, very nice but the front is so oddly blunt in shape. The interior screens were over-hyped. They're essentially the pre-facelift S class setup but curved (or just set into a curved dashboard piece). Removing the physical buttons from the screens and using a continuous piece of glass would've made much more of an impact.
You can tell here how huge the C pillar is, this better come with lots of standard cameras: https://visualizer.cadillac.com/?car...hannel=b2c&s=t

Default 2021 Cadillac Escalade

It gets a big "meh" from me. The front is nice, the sculpting on the rear is interesting, the profile doesn't do enough to differentiate itself from its cheaper siblings, and the interior is a big fail, IMHO. Having a touch-sensitive screen to the LEFT and behind the steering wheel is just stupid, and the vaguely art-deco themed interior isn't as obviously "American" as what Lincoln is doing. I also don't understand why the center console is THAT wide. It looks ridiculous, and the interior materials don't appear up to snuff (as usual, per Cadillac).

I'm sure it's intended audience will love it, though (I wonder if they might find it too subdued for their taste?)

The silver applique at the C pillar is really awkward. It looks so cheap.

I said it in the other thread -but they've taken the bling out of the exterior; and given it the face of the XT6 -which is just down right boring. The interior is really nice though.

Autoblog did a comparison to the Lincoln...exterior wise, Lincoln (to these eyes) have the Caddy beat -hands down. Interior, I give the nod to Caddy.

I'm surprised by Caddy using diesel - but sure, whatever. I think the Lincoln will win in this regard as well (engine wise).

I'm torn. I think this is better detailed than the Lincoln. There are too many little fussy/cheap/now dated elements on the Navigator and I like Cadillac's straight forward clean lines. It doesn't have the old-money feel the Lincoln has. But it's also starting to fall out of luxury entirely... Too many echos of the GM twins it's based on. The DLO is very disappointing in that regard (very sloppy C-pillar treatment, taillights are too take and in the mold). I wish it was more bold, and the face isn't enough.

The interior is another story. Super impressive layout and tech display. Probably a PITA to use though. And I really question those materials... The Lincoln does a great job using quality (or quality looking) surfaces in interesting colors. Black and beige just don't cut it anymore when competitors are offering sumptuous chocolate and blue options. Glossy wood has been dead for awhile too...

Prefer the styling on the XT6, the Escalade feels too much of a rebadge.

I do agree, the interior does have BMWesque look to it but it does look good.

Should sell well in the states.
