Default Toyota to recall 1.3 million cars in the US and Canada

Toyota's announcement today that it will, indeed, recall 1.1 million Corollas and Matrixes for computer glitches that can cause them to stall in traffic marks the 15th Toyota or Lexus recall so far this year, Toyota says.

All told, more than 9 million vehicles have been recalled by the automaker once known for its quality for safety defects since the start of 2010. And that doesn't include the ones from late last year when Toyota's nightmare -- remember floor mats that jam acclerators -- began.
That takes the total to over 10 million in less than a year- not good.

I honestly don't even think the stupid floor mat and UA ones should count. Floor mats were customers failing to follow instructions and UA is significantly more likely than not drive error as opposed to "jammed pedals".

It will count. The NHTSA said there was a FUNDAMENTAL flaw is the design. No one should die because they put aftermarket mats on the floor. Give me a break.
