Aside from the front the design could also be from VW, Skoda or Seat. There were times when each brand had a much more independent design philosophy. The Q8 is another Audi that seems to me rather bland and soulless. And therefore definitely no competitor to my Range Rover.

Apart from that the platform has a front overhang that is way to big. It is especially disturbing when you look at the Bentley Bentayga, but the Q7 and now the Q8 also suffer from it. And first prototype shots from the next generation Porsche Cayenne show it will have the same issue. What a pity!

Look just like Audi-version of VW CrossBlue Coupe Concept shown in 2013.

That Cross Blue concept looks shockingly close. Really, all VAG brands look identical nowadays, with grilles and the "LED signature" as main differences. Zero real character. Audi only attaches huge and - from generation to generation - more aggressive and vulgar grilles, as it seems. Hard to imagine that it is the same company that managed tasteful cars like the first A4 & A8 or the A5, or outstanding designs like the first TT. The Q2, as weird as it is, at least looks vaguely different (though it feels un-Audi cheap inside), but apparently that was a one time exception form that design rule....

Q8 Sport Concept:

Looking a little more production ready, and a little more like the rest of the Audi range.

But feeling very much like staid Audi is trying to do the Lexus ugly thing and not having the guts to really go there.

Don't know how it manages to look overdone yet boring.

That's a rare trait in many newer VAG cars, especially Audis.

The front end looks like it's been roughly drawn out with a polygon lasso tool in Photoshop. The rear end looks more related to the Lamborghini Urus than an Audi. The side looks like any other Audi Q series except the Q2.
