Default What happened to the forums?

Why have these forums died down so much in popularity? Particularly in the auto design section / photo shop contests?

People are busy I guess, I rarely have time to post here, I do visit daily though.

There were a few of us occasionally posting in the design section.
Am going to try to do so again

I think I might do some posts in the automotive design section. I was never a huge contributor to these forums but they were always interesting.

Same here. I do like to express my opinion in a few short sentences sometimes, but don't have the time to participate in more elaborate discussions.

The forum seems to be getting increasingly quiet, though. Most of the prolific old-timers are gone, or post very rarely. But I guess such is the way of things.

Maybe new people or lurkers would be encouraged to sign-up if the account they create would be instantenously approved? I do realise the process serves a purpose, but implementing a CAPTCHA when posting and adding a few mods should solve the issue of spam.
