Well at least it looks better than the Budd-e concept.
Bring it like that for 35.000$ and it will sell very well.

EDIT: Holy ****, this is 195 inches long? :-o Good bye, 35.000$ price point.

My thoughts exactly. Whilst this is arguably an attractive concept car for lovers of the original Microbus, and I dig the minimal detailing which is in sharp contrast to the current VAG design language, all I can think is yet another play on the same topic for 16 years or so....

The trouble I see is that it will end up on a MQB platform thus altering proportions ( I know VAG supposedly works on an electric platform, but shot me dead if it will not recycle as many MQB components as possible given that already MQB will have to soldier on another 2 generations), slightly edgier detailing "because the customers need aggressive edges on German Autobahn to make an impression" and the result will be meh. in 2022, or so. Just right before the original Micorbus concept would be on the edge of becoming a vintage car....

This is the best iteration of the Microbus so far imo. It's true enough to the original but looks of this century and tech world. A relatively cheap EV bus would be killer. This should lead VWs EV rush. Instead I expect, as with the rest of their bus concepts, for this to just drop off as a design exercise.

Definitely the best iteration of the Microbus Concepts thus far design-wise. Build the thing VW (I'll fall off my chair if they do).

Seriously VW...are you going for a trophy on how many Microbus concepts can be released??

Another year, another concept that'll go nowhere.

The 2011 Bulli concept was 157" long. Polo length.
The 2016 Budd-e concept was 181" long. Golf Estate length.
This one is 195" long. inbetween a Passat and a Phaeton.
If they do another one after this it's going to be an actual house with wheels on it .

Haha. It feels like it was 1976 when we saw the first Microbus Concept...

I'm a bit disappointed, not cause i don't like it but because i was confident this time around we would actually get a production version and release date announced. This is what Volkswagen is hoping to rescue them from all the bad publicity and stale designs. Yet we get yet another concept...
