Last night (5/6/11), at a local (to me) car cruise-night meet in Pearl River, NY, someone came up in a new 2011 (or is it a 2012 model?) Ford Mustang Boss 302 model. This was in a dark blue with black stripes. This is not only the first one I saw on the road, outside of the New York Auto Show, where one appeared, but I didn't think that they were even out just yet, in the showrooms and streets! This Boss 302 was even taking the attention and focus away from the old-school rides, which is really what the car cruise meet is all about! I'm sorry that I didn't take a photo, but, it should be around again in the next week, or even an additional local meet in the area, during another day of the week, then I'll capture it and post it here.

I saw a brand new BMW 6-Series convertible in white, twice this afternoon in the Smithtown, NY area. First one I've seen in person. So much nicer than it's predecessor in my opinion. I look forward to seeing more of these on the road.

Today I caught my first 2011 new-generation Dodge Charger on the road, outside of a show or a dealer lot. It was a bright red, and with a Hemi. This was on 20th Street in Manhattan. Not much time after, cruising uptown on 8th Ave. was a London-Taxi, in black, a rare sight, indeed, for the USA. I managed to captures of both, and I'll post them. Also, cruising past my office, was a nice, black Rolls-Royce Ghost.

Spotted something back from the 80s. A Citroen SM driving on Rt 146 in Millbury Mass last night.

Such a special car-so much technology. And yes I have a soft spot for the brand and its sometimes wacky designs.

On of those Citroen SM's appeared on one of my car cruise-nights in Bear Mt. State Park in upstate, NY, last summer (2010), and, I've sporadically caught these grey-market vehicles around, but very few times and far in-between. Below is a link to a video of the vehicle, with it's raising/lowering suspension:

Today, along 7th Avenue in Manhattan, I saw my first facelifted Acura TL in the wild. It was in black, a higher-edition SH-AWD model, in back, with larger wheels, and has a generally smoother, more refined appearance with the new grill and fixtures, no longer appearing as a "beak".

I also saw another new-generation 2011 Dodge Durango, and, I'm liking these a lot - so much more elegant and proportioned far more nicely than the blocky predecessor.

Sorry bud, hate to break it to you. That's a CX (distant predecessor to current C6) in the vid

I stand corrected, and yes, the Citroen SM was a coupe, also sold in the USA (just before Citroen left the USDM), and had a Maserati engine. I got my signals crossed, regarding alpha-numeric initials. What I posted is a CX.

Today, I saw my first new Camaro convertible on the streets, not at a show or a dealer-lot. This was red, with a black top, and drove by fairly fast on 17th St. in Manhattan, NY, and it sounded like the 3.6L V6. I didn't get a look at the wheels.
