I can#t help but feel strong Korean vibes form this design. There is very little outside that says BMW, and the regular version as seen in the spy shots looks even more like something slotting between a Kia Stonic and a Hyundai Tucson...

It does look derivative, but it looks decent enough.

Nowadays looking like a korean car is hardly an insult, more like a compliment (SsangYong excluded); But ultimately it doe have very little BMW DNA visually, and I doubt a 3cyl. FWD cross over (base models will be the best sellers)will be much of an ultimate driving machine either...

If you like this design language, buy the originals from Hyundai or Kia....

Given how tired and played out the BMW DNA has gotten with the dull 7 and 5 Series, a serious change was needed. This is rather attractive looking.

hate the triangular cutout in the front bumper. other than that, it's as inoffensive as the rest of the lineup. Certainly nicer than the GLA though. Not a fan of the BMW logo on the C pillars. Save it for the concept cars.

I quite like this. The shape and proportions are nice for an SUV/CUV. BMW is still struggling to detail a coherent front bumper and their interiors are aging fast, but overall it looks like a decent entry into the segment. But I wish it was RWD....

That would just make for packaging that produces a cramped vehicle. Going with UKL was the correct move.
