I think it's nice looking, but it also looks very, VERY familiar (as everyone else has noticed). Kind of disappointing, in that respect.

Seriously speaking, not anytime soon. I'm pretty sure that the shareholders are encouraging mass manufacturers to invest more and more on hypercars; its a very, very easy way to increase brand awareness. And unlike mass production models, it's very unlikely to fail.

Yeah, there's a trend towards custom and one-offs for the ultra-rich it seems. But there's a certain uncertainty in the air at the moment I think. I myself love these one-offs and customised cars, so I'm not complaining. It's just nice to know that they exist and that people are actually employed to create these things. I suppose it's a modern version of patronage, just like you had patrons who funded artists in the past.

I think this is the first McLaren since the F1 that I actually like the look of. The rear and rear 3/4 view is absolutely bonkers. Looks like a hyper-modern Jaguar supercar.
