Default Jeep Gladiator

Technically this is still a 'spy shot' but - according to the post, this came directly from the FCA media site - then removed.

Sure, it's a Wrangler with a truck bed, but Jeep is going to sell a BOAT load of these...love the soft top option.

The rear passenger doors are never NOT going to bug me. Also, mods could we add a year to the thread title?

that's a lot of wheelbase for something with a Rubicon badge. This should all be branded under Wrangler and not a separate model, like Wrangler Unlimited. Should be pretty cool overall, excited to see it on the road.

Looks expensive, FCA is no stranger to discounts and the Jeep brand has been most resistant to them.

Its a 50/50 bet, truck customers tend to be practical, but somehow we all know this is going to grab an immediate slice of the market.

Hello Tacoma discounts!

That forum has been around for awhile as the new Jeep Scrambler forum. They change the name when they found out the official Gladiator name.

Looks like Jeep will target buyers looking for a lifestyle/image vehicle with extra cargo space.

From a practical buyer's perspective, it's neither the best in being a mid-size truck or the best in being a rock crawler. The Gladiator is a compromise between a Wrangler (which is the best off-roader) and a traditional mid-size pickup with better packaging.

Wrangler owners might want this as their other vehicle.

98% of these things won't be used for either rock crawling or any type of 'truck' use.

So -doesn't really matter how it compares to the competition ;)
