It's less ugly than the Mirai...? (damning w/ faint praise)

Why is the Euro spec version so much better? The front end is so much more cohesive. Looks less cheap.

Wrong thread guys...

And yikes. The EU version is actually great looking up front and instead, N.A. gets THAT?!

Yeah, oops. I keep forgetting about how ineffective vBulletin's search often is and just went for the first seemingly relevant result.

That looks.... so much nicer.
Me too, I just saw a bumped "Corolla 2014" thread, saw US facelift, so I posted the Euro spec as well. WIthout much further investigation ;)

I do agree that it looks better, the "weirdo" fornt end works with the similarly weird/futuristic Mirai and Prius', but it works not so well with the conservative rest of the Corolla (and least does wit with the Mazda 2 sedan aka. Yaris iA). The Euro front end manages to look more modern and works IMO better with the rest of the car. That said, I never got the point why Toyota needs a different front end design for essentially identical cars in the US vs. Europe (and many other markets getting the "Euro"version), when the rest is unchanged and no other Toyota sold in both markets is different.....

The biggest problem with the US one is that bucktooth thing.

NA Camry is different from non-NA Camry. ASEAN Yaris is different from non-ASEAN Yaris. There's very likely a couple of other examples, but it's midnight where I am, so I'm going to stop thinking now.

Yeah, forgit the Camry (though it's not on sale in most European markets, so I hardly ever see one, probably that's why). The Yaris is a point, but the ASEAN Yaris is a totally different vehicle than the US/Euro model, much bigger, kind of that "C-segment interior on B-segment underpinnings" concept that the recent Fiat Tipo or European Skoda Rapid follow. And it's cheap. This IMO is ok, like there are 2 VW Passats, or different Hundais in Europe and US, as they are actually different vehicles to cater different markets, whereas a Corolla is teh same car between the wheels (and targeting people who want a "Corolla" in every market, given it's reputation) yet it gets a weird face for it#s best selling market.....
