Default 2018 Mercedes Benz GLE (W167)

Testing

Curious if any GLC cues will appear or it will have it's own distinct design, ie keeping the floating rear window in the back.

Hopefully it is not afflicted by another unappealing or questionable looking Mercedes rear end design.

Interesting, it looks actually smaller than the current car (I doubt it is, so I guess proportions are better), and visually somehow closest to the original "Jurassic Park" M-Class, as it was called back then. I actually like what I see....

It was a facelift where not that much bar the name changed. The GLE coupe was new, but probably will be replaced later (Same as with BMW, where the X4 - basically a X3 hatchback - is just on the market and the X3 already about to get replaced - well, prototypes in similar stage as the GLE)

My bad I mistook the GLE for the GLC. Not getting along with the alphabet soup haha

I actually don't think the rear end on the current gen is so bad. While less technically clean as the GLC, it's at least way more distinctive (if messy). The only MB rear ends I find truly heinous are the CLA, CLS, and SL.

I'm more interested in seeing if they fix the poor, wallowing handling on the regular models (for both the GLE and GLS)....

I also wonder if they'll just transplant the E-class interior into the GLE....

About time. Hopefully they give us an E-class interior, because the current interiors in GLE and GLS are embarrassing for vehicles of such class.

Looks like it's going to be very similar to the new GLC.

Look closely, and you will see the new GLS in the background too. Looks like they will launch both in the same time frame.
