Default Skoda Vision RS

Guess this previews the new rapid? Based on the MQB A0 platfor, so Arona, Polo, Ibiza according to autocar.

Pretty sure that's the next Rapid, greenhouse and proportions look similar (the rear end is quite a Volvo rip off IMO); I will never understand the need for 2 Polo based Skoda hatchbacks (Fabia and Rapid), I think they first and mostly compete with each other...

Rear does remind me of Volvo but so does the new Focus in some ways. The current Rapid is a very very rare sight in Sydney and not surprised given its unremarkable compared to the competition. If the next one looks anywhere near as good as in that render it could become a contender. Especially in Europe. I love the RS versions of the Octavia so this will probably look best in an RS trim. They need to move it up to Golf size and spec though.

Another batch of sketches for the concept, this time the interior:

I just realised the grille frame look now identical between SEAT (see Tarraco) and Skoda, only difference being the nose on the top of Skoda's. Sure makes these rebatches even easier...

For comparison's sake: https://www.netcarshow.com/Seat-Tarraco-2019-800-0c.jpg

Yes, this is what I was complaining about as well, and one of the reasons some magazines claim this will be the next Leon as well, as clearly the grille and rear lights already look like Seat units;

That said, these are still exaggerated sketches, seriously, how much teasing do we need today? VAG is truly currently the master of teasing, usually over several month time (the Tarraco was trickling teasers for nearly a year or so, the Karoq approx the same, and also the T-Cross is just getting teased and teased...)

Noticed the same thing and posted in the SEAT Tarraco thread, doh!

The grille and lights shape is very similar though. I did read (can't remember where) that this might be a Karoq or Kodiaq VRS preview, not a new Rapid.
