When was that? 2010 sounds like a plausible time for a facelift.

Current generation came out for MY07, at least for NA.

From what I've heard, a brand new Camry will be coming out in 2010, not a facelift. Just remember that the ACV/MCV36 only had a 4 year run, and there's a good chance the ACV/GSV40 will only be a 4 year runner as well...

i think anonms means that the current generation was a reskin of the previous Camry (02-06), with a longer wheelbase. There will be a facelift in 2009, im guessing we might see it only sale in Japan as early as this decemeber (might be revealed in US. at one of their motorshows, the first one of 09). I think he means that the next camry (due in 2012) will be competely new (hence 'full FMC') and not have same components or revised ones from the current and previous Camry. I could be wrong though.

The current Camry came out in Japan in december 05 (i think), was revealed in America in january 06 (i think) and it went on sale in Australia in July 06. So yeah if MY07 means going on sale in 2006 in America, then it wasnt a MY06

No this current Camry will be here for the full 6 years not like the previous one. As mentioned 2012 will be brand new.

Well, the current Camry shares parts with the previous one. Toyota has that habit of recycling stuff for two generations.

no more than other manufacturers... or actually probably less than others since Toyota has money to spend.
