In Germany, the X-Class starts at 37.300 Euro, the Navara - with the same 163hp Diesel engine, identical drive train and built in the same factory (Nissan Barcelona), starts at 26.900. So 10.500 Euro, or nearly. 40% more for a Mercedes badegd Navara; You really got to want the Command Audio System and the 3 pointed star to pay that difference...%

I hope European buyers laugh at the X Class because that's what it deserves. The Navara is far from being the best pickup of its size, but Mercedes' re-engineering of it is nil. Thus, a crappy Nissan produces an abysmal Mercedes.

Mercedes is all about "lifestyle" , what about the off road lifestyle? A Mercedes competitor to the wrangler would be a killer unique product and very cleverly shed some of that snob appeal.

And all they had to do was start with the G500 chassis.
Imagine: A Mercedes answer to the Defender pickup. That would be beast.

I think the Renault would deserve a thread of it's own, if there isn't one already (of which I''m pretty sure)
