I'd like to see such vehicles replace conventional taxis here in Australia too. They make sense and as such transport.

It's a transportation 'pod', not a Maserati. My fridge is also hideous but does its job well. I think these are more appealing than the sea of Camry and Prius cabs.

Looks cool. Black Mirror showed a automated food truck similar to this this season. Put a pizza oven in it and let it roam a city.

Oh yes. I forgot. Public transportation must be visually offensive.

My fridge is actually quite stylish.

I know its still a concept, but I'm a bit concerned about the turning radius when its got 8 wheels.

As you think like a 70 year old when it comes to what constitutes 'great design' you definitely don't have much variety in your 'tastes'. Not everything uses the same principles of design. The same way that art comes in all shapes and forms. I do see the appeal of such means of transport especially within large cities.

That actually made me laugh. I'd rather think like a 70-year-old that has taste than someone hoping for a new socialist-communist utopia that devolves into a sea of ugliness.

Glad you still don't think it was meant to be a hurtful comment swizzle boy :) That wasn't the intention. Taste is subjective that's all. Rather not have all cars look like they came out of a German or US factory that's all. I view such vehicles in the same way as buses and trains.
